We all know that kids sometimes need a little help managing big feelings.

Here are 5 simple and fun ways we help kids👧 at Tappy Toes Nursery calm down, and you can try them at home too!

👉 Have your child take a deep breath like they’re blowing a big bubble. It’s easy and calming!

👉 Put on a calming song. 🎶Music is a great way to reset emotions and help little ones feel better.

👉 Encourage your child to imagine a calming color filling them up as they breathe in and letting go of any "stormy" feelings as they breathe out.

👉 Create a quiet corner with soft pillows, books, or their favorite stuffed animal where they can feel safe and calm.

👉 Help them name what they’re feeling. Something like, “It looks like you're feeling upset. Do you want a hug or a quiet minute?” makes a big difference. 💬
